quote It’s a small joint, we dined in for lunch and ordered nasi lemak with fried chicken, assam laksa and char kueh teow as they didn’t have the roast duck I wanted. The nasi lemak was not as great as their pictures suggested and my mum rated them as average, the assam laksa was the better than some we’ve tasted in Perth. The char kueh teow was ok, it was the light version (not dark sauce) with chilli the flavour was nice and liked that it had the crispy pork lard but it was basically all noodles (they used thin noodles) and bean sprouts, it had 2 prawns and a few thin slices of fish cake and lap chong. For the price it could definitely be better. Not much to comment on the service as you order and pay at the counter and they serve it, not much interaction besides that, water and cutlery is all self serve. Probably won’t dine again.

quote Used to love the food here and their Hokkien Noodle was one of the best. That was but not really is the case based on recent dine-in. Changed of chef also means taste variation. I noticed the soup has been ‘tuned’ to sweeter profile.

quote The taste of the fried vermicelli with combination of meats and egg sauce was above average. The vermicelli was lightly stirred fried and gave a less roasted smell and taste. The prawns weren't the best but the chicken is very fresh and tasty. (2021-06) Over the years, this restaurant has improved the quality of the food. The helpful and friendly staffs gave us good and quick services. We enjoyed the meals! (2021-04)

quote Many dishes from Penang are.offered here and done pretty well very consistenly! Have been coming regularly since discovering it in 2020. Here are reviews of just some of the offerings taken mostly at lunch or as take away: Penang Hokkien Mee (Prawn Noodle Soup) is uncomplicated in the number of ingredients yet true to its flavour. Add sambal chilli to taste as to how hot you want it. Assam Laksa: not many in Perth do this noodle dish. It has thicker traditional laksa rice noodles in a fish & assam/Tamarind soup. Very flavoursome & you add the "hair koh" according to your taste. Malaysia Style Lor Bak: nicely fried and served sliced up with a few pieces of bean curd. You can see the marinated met inside and taste is quite true to what one gets in Penang. A great dish for sharing during a meal. Malaysian Style Nasi Lemak: Tasty & comes with either a fried chicken or a curry chicken. A take away pleaser for us. Char Kuey Teow: Has good wok hey and amongst the top 10 CKT in Perth Lor Mee: this noodle dish is not offered by many in Perth. It has the right amount of thickness in the broth without it being too gluggy. The flavour is great & one adds the sambal chilli to taste. So glad that they offer to cook this on their menu. Have posted the menu(taken 21 July 2023) in here so you can see what they have for offer. They really have a lot more dishes that are done quite well so.if you get a chance, please try the dishes and share what you think about them! NOTE: due to insufficient take up, was told that they may change their "breakfast offering & hours" so please check if going earlier than 1030am
